    "Spanish" mobility

In the period from April 4th to April 6th 2022, the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Care, Catholic University in Ružomberok, hosted Professor Luis Moreno Casillas, a teacher from the Spanish University of Avila (Saint Teresa of Jesus Catholic University), as a part of the Erasmus + program. In the program of his stay was to become familiar with the study areas where the theoretical teaching of nursing students is prepared and implemented, including spaces intended for specialized teaching of nursing skills. He was also interested in the content of individual subjects, their time allocation, study opportunities in English in order to ensure study opportunities for Avila students through the Erasmus + program. During the second day of his stay, we visited the Central Military Hospital SNP Ružomberok - FN, namely the Department of Internal Medicine, the Department of Neurology and the Emergency department. He was pleasantly surprised by the size of the hospital, the capacity of the beds and the organization of work within specialized outpatient clinics. He highlighted the modern technical support in the field of instrumentation and student guidance during clinical practice. Some areas of the hospital have naturally "eroded the ravages of time", but as he pointed out, there are older hospitals or other similar problems in Spain, such as lack of sisters. He acknowledged the system of work and management of patient care at the Neurological clinic from the beginning of hospitalization to the subsequent rehabilitation or spa care. On the third day, he visited the Rector's office and the modern premises of the University library, which is the "showcase" of our university. Professor Casillas expressed his warm thanks for his entire stay and for the excellent organization of the time-consuming program. In conclusion, he expressed the belief that the mutual exchange of teachers and students between our universities will continue.
