St. Nicholas brought a smile again

For the Faculty of the Health care of the Catholic university in Ružomberok, it has been a tradition for several years to prepare a St. Nicholas´gazebo for patients who, because of their health problems, can not  expect St. Nicholas at home with their closest relatives. St. Nicholas and his assistents – our nursing students Viera Morongová, Natália Laššáková, Lukáš Bariak, Natália Habáňová, Michaela Kluciarová and student from A.Dubček´s University in Trenčín, Pavol Morong, don´t have forgotten the patients of the Children´s clinic, Oncology clinic, the Aftercare clinic  and also clients of the Center of the Social Services Trojlístok. At least a little joy and smile in the suffering were brought by the students under the leadership of the head of the nursing department PhDr. Marcela Ižová, Phd., through accordion music, wooden St. Nicholas medals and small sweet gifts thanks to Marek Menich (Metro Žilina) and Roman Vereš from Rover company. The words of the participants also speak about the progress of the event:“ It was a wonderful event full of joy, singing and humility, which was carried in the pre-Christmas spirit. The joy in the eyes of the patients, who had not seen anyone else but the medical staff for a long time, was breathtaking. The Centre Trojlístok left a big mark on us. They prepared a wonderful program for us, during which they danced, sang and performed a folk group. Most of the clients, although they were adults, had the hearts of children and when they saw how happy we were for them, they were very happy and excited about it. We believe that this event will continue next year".
