The National Institute for Education (NIE) appointed Ing. Mgr. Imrich Andrási, MPH, vice-dean of FZ KU, as a member of the Central Commission for elementary and primary education in the field - Health and Exercise, for a period of five years.

"Educated youth in the first aid can save many lives in the future before the paramedics arrives. One of the most important steps is  to include first aid as a subject to be taught in primary schools, "said Imrich Andrási, from the Department of Emergency Health Care at the Faculty of Health of the Catholic University. The nomination of our teacher was proposed by the Slovak Chamber of Paramedics. We believe that his experience will contribute to the creation and implementation of a first aid teaching program in schools.

The Central Commission for elementary and primary education was established in June 2021 on the basis of an open call. It has 256 members, most of whom are primary school teachers and principals, professional development teachers, academics and pedagogical research experts, and other non-teaching staff from, for example, NGOs. They work in seven subcommittees focused on individual educational areas.
