What is BIP
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short-term intensive programmes that bring added value compared to existing courses. They offer innovative methods of teaching and learning, including online collaboration, and foster curriculum innovation. The term blended in the title refers to the combination of physical and virtual mobility, where the virtual component, ensuring joint work on a given topic, may take place before, during, or after the physical mobility.
Participants of the programme may be students or staff members who join the BIP in the role of learners. A BIP represents a partnership of at least three higher education institutions (holders of an ECHE) from a minimum of three different EU Member States or third countries associated to the Programme. In addition to the mandatory three institutions, higher education institutions from third countries not associated to the Programme may also take part in a BIP, but at their own expense.
